Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.
In 2011, when I was sixteen, I was in an accident that took me years to recover from. Immediately after my injury, I was comatose for seven weeks. When I woke up, my body relearned how to do everything. Think Kill Bill, but minus the thinking clearly part.
This experience unlocked a power within me that I had been previously unaware of. It gave new meaning to the phrase, “with all the strength I could muster.” I am now able to draw upon this power to accomplish things.
This experience taught me to have true gratitude for the simple things in my life today: the ability to walk, the ability to speak, and the ability to think.
