“Do you have any kids?“

No, and I don’t plan to have any. It’s 2023. Please stop asking strangers whether or not they have procreated. It’s personal, invasive, and inappropriate.

I don’t plan to have kids for a lot of reasons, namely my freedom. Also, I think this nation’s collective intelligence is too low for me to consider adding to it’s population.

The argument can be made that this is precisely why I need to procreate. “The world needs more people like us,” my dad would say. I say, let someone else do it. I will not be undergoing that massive responsibility just to boost the nation’s intellect. This is not my responsibility.
