Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?

I am decidedly unpatriotic, and have been for a long time. In first grade, I did not like saying the pledge of allegiance every morning because I felt like I was, “Praying to a flag.” I was very religious at this time.

The U.S. entering a needless war in 2001, did not do anything to promote my opinion of America.

When abortion became illegal in the U.S., I mentality severed all ties I had with this country, except my job, which is so easy I consider it exploitation. I now feel a profound hatred for this country.
