I got the COVID-19 booster shot today because my grandparents are in their 80s and I want to celebrate the holidays with them. Republicans have, as usual, made a single medical issue into a fully-fledged hullabaloo. They did that with abortion, and now they’re doing it with a vaccine – in reality, the Covid-19 vaccine is a holy grail, delivering us from the worst pandemic since the AIDS pandemic in 1981.
