Got nexplanon replaced. Fun stuff. I watched as they split open and dug in my skin for the old one. One side of a small white stick popped out of the side of my bicep. That part was the most gruesome, but that section of my arm was completely numb.
Then, they put a new implant into some sort of plastic gun. They put the tip of the implant on my arm and pulled the trigger. I felt a pinch, and the implant slid into my arm.
That was it. With it, I have a 0.05% chance of getting pregnant WITHIN A YEAR. Definitely worth it. It’s covered by most insurances too.
